Important Notice to all Officials & Coaches in BC
To all members and non-members, please pay attention to the following notes and dates:
- Effective Dec 1, 2024. All officials (umpires, referees) must be in good standing of BCTTA’s membership. This is the requirement for all officials to take exams to be certified in all levels of qualification and for the selection to all nationals, Canada Winter Games and international events.
- Effective Dec 1, 2024. All coaches (in train or certified) must be in good standing of BCTTA’s membership. This is aligned with NCCP (Canadian Coaches Certification Association)’s requirements. All coaches must be active in points and certified in different levels to coach in communities, nursing facilities, senior care facilities, schools, and provincial teams.
- TTCAN offers coaching courses free of charge on the following dates:
– Feb 19, 26 and Mar 5, 2025
Introduction to Competition Theory ( 6 -9 PM ET, Virtual)
– Mar 8 – 9, 2025
Introduction to Competition Practical (1-6 PM ET, Virtual/Blended)
– Mar 2, 2025
Community coaching ( 6 – 9 PM ET)
– June 7, 2025
Community Coaching Course ( 1 – 4 PM ET)
– Sept 13, 2025
Community Coaching Course (1 – 4 PM ET)
– Sept 10, 17 & 24, 2025
Introduction to Competition Theory (6 – 9 PM ET, Virtual)
– Sept 27 – 28, 2025
Introduction to Competition Practical (1 – 6 PM ET, Virtual/Blended)
– Nov 7, 2025
Community Coaching ( 6 – 9 PM ET)
4. He/she has to send an email to register with BCTTA and pay for the membership fees $40 if he/she intends to take any coaching courses.
