2023 Cosports Senior 40+ Team Challenge
Hurry! Call your table tennis pals and gals and get a team together for the 2023 Cosports Senior 40 Plus Team Challenge on March 25th. This fun tournament is limited to the first eight (8) teams to enter.
The tournament will be held at Cosports Racquet Sports Club, a recent addition to the lower mainland racquets sports scene. Cosports is a table tennis, badminton and volleyball club at 921 Seaborne Avenue in Port Coquitlam. This modern facility has a table tennis area with 12 courts and amenities important to sweaty players post-game like showers and a healthy snack bar.
The format for this tournament is based on a maximum of 8 teams with two round robins of four teams each. The two top teams after the round robins have completed will advance to a main draw elimination tournament. The remaining teams will compete in a consolation version of an elimination tournament.
Tournament Details:
- Each team is expected to have a minimum of three (3) players and a max of five (5) players
- The top three (3) players ranking points shall not exceed 3500 points
- The results are based on team wins and team match wins.
- Tie breaks will be decided by the points of matches for the teams involved in the tie
- ITTF rules govern all play
- Entry deadline is Tuesday, March 21, 2023
- Tournament date: Saturday, March 25 starting at 10am.

According to tournament organizer Pun Chu, the Cosports 40+ Team Challenge Tournament was a great success with more than 16 teams and 60 players battling it out for supremacy at the newest, brightest and nicest table tennis facility in the lower mainland.
Pun Chu uses Tournament Software, a comprehensive tool for managing all the little details when running a tournament.
